Halloween Festivities

Happy Time Change!
Yes it't that wonderful time of year when we get to sleep in an hour extra....so to say.
Went to a local "Corn Maize" on Friday night. We went on the suggesting and pleading of some friends of ours.
So, we went and it was surprizingly warm. only in the upper 40's. T has a cold so I wasn't sure we should go. but he said he'd wear a hat and be good to go. we get there and to go through the "scary maze' it was $20 bucks! Rediculous I'm thinking...$20 bucks to wonder in a maze in the dark with people trying to scare you. Well, I try to back out saying the corn makes me itch...which it does... on bare skin. But our friends insist it'll be fun. So we go. there is a hayride back to the maze entrance. it was fun. One of the actors had a chainsaw...yes a real one...the chain was off.... he was poking it through the empty slats scaring people. at one point he even jumps up on the wagon with us! This one poor girl on the end I thought was about to die! After a fashion we get to the maze. The actors can touch us but man they get close. Does breathing on me count!? It was fun after all ... there are also 3 other non haunted mazes to use, we attempted one but because of the recent snow it was very muddy and The other lady we were with wasn't having a good time. too much mud on her shoes...Glad I wore my old shoes. We picked out pumpkins. One bad note I have to complain on was that there were no pumpkin based baked goods for sale! So, the next day I bought my supplies and made my own pumpkin cookies....Mmmm there good.
P & I carved the pumpkins today...we even did it out side. Can't belive the Weather today ...70!
Well, If I can get my photo to upload I'll post it. They look nice all lit up at night.

I would have balked at the $20, too, but I have always been curious about trying a haunted hayride/maze; it sounds like it was fun anyway. That is cool about the chainsaw guy. Sounds like they go all out!

I expect some pumpkin cookies on my doorstep this week. Or you could just send me the recipe, but it won't be the same. I hope T feels better.

well, the first batch of cookies has stayed pretty soft. so i think they might survive shipping with out getting dryed out. I'll have to make more for turkey day!
