Work rants

Today I am a psychologist. My current career adventures find me in the Sales department of a well know funiture store here. Apparently at work one person seams to be causing all this trouble to others...this creates an unhappy work place. Any way, This one lady tends to butt in where she's not supposed to. You know how it goes. there's always one. ..There is a 20 something girl co-worker and a 30-something guy co-worker. well, the girl was handling a customer who came in for an exchange item. the girl did the exchange. but then realized after the customer had left that she wasn't the original person to key in this ticket. so she went and found the guy whose it belonged to. She asked him if it was okay to leave it, cuz it was a small dollar amount item or should they have it fixed to split the commission. Mrs. Nib Nose was standing near by and over heard this conversation. She jumps into it and says to the younger girl very sternly that Now she'll get in trouble ...Bla Bla Bla...How's it feel to be under the gun...and she just kept going! She made the girl cry! Come on - This isn't grade school here! Well, the guy is a gentleman and helped calm the girl down telling her everything was fine and he wasn't worried about it so neither should she. Which is what I told her too.
Then later this same night she was harping on my other friend (she's from Costa Rica) about her cleaning area. We all have an area to clean at night for store closing...well, Latino people get all fired up. It's kinda funny. She has an accent still, and then she talks even faster in English...It's just funny to get her going...but I do it in good humor. This was uncalled for.I hope that lady has tomorrow off to chill. She & we all need it.
I think this lady must be lacking in her menopause hormones or something. She's been jumping in on a lot of people of late. She better watch it. One of them may go to the manager if she doesn't chill.
Well, thank you for listening. I had to listen to about 5 different complaints about her tonight. So, I needed to vent too.

run! not me!

www.imogenerun.com

I found this site recently while surfing...I respect people who engage in sports I don't - especially crazy ones. Running long distance is lung wrenching enough...but add an elevation on 13,120! yikes! Sorry, but I'll take my Jeep... maybe a rental. I don't want to blow mine up!
To my best friend...a runner... if you go crazy someday and want to do this...I'll volunteer at the water station and cheer you on!

The Picture is of Imogene Pass between Ouray and Telluride CO.

Frosted tips....Interrupt the endless blue....

It was a beautiful fall day today. Snow up there. I can see the runs of a local ski resort from my porch. It's nice to be able to look at the snow and still be warm. It was in the 60's at my altitude. I love to watch the clouds form and move over the peaks...remember lying on your back and watching the clouds as a kid.....

Rocky Mountain Park

Elk for pets....
the deer and elk here are so much different than the deer back east. Well, not as many people are shooting at them either! The elk in the park seem pretty tame. They just stand there ( or lay there) chewing their cud and watching you. Unless of course it's early October in the "Rut" P and I were here then to hear the bugling. we are walking along a hiking path when we see a small group in a meadow. we wander over and sit behind a large pine tree to listen to them. It's very eire to listen too. For those that haven't heard what they sound like, it's a high pitched whistle. There was one female that kept breaking away from his group to go to another bull we could hear kinda off to our right. The bull heards her back very quickly. Again she tries to run off. this time towards us...I'm thinking..can I still climb a tree? I hear the other male call again and this infeariorates the herd bull! He gives the female a poke in the butt with his horns and she goes back to the pack without question. But he whirls around and starts trotting towards our hiding spot bugling his challenge in return. We gather our cameras and stand ready to climb this tree. Luckly he stops - a group of riders on horse back go by on the trail behind us...He stops and watches them. He deems them no threat so he turns back to his women and we take it as a sign to leave. lol! Don't want to end up on national news that way!
This last weekend we went up again and of corse the elk are calm again. Cooling their heels in the snow. They are now standing roadside to have their pictures taken. See photo above.
